Ben Sutcliffe-Davies has been appointed by the Y.D.S.A Certifying Authorities to undertake MCA coding inspections in the South West,South Wales and West Wales areas. He is available to travel further if required. It is important to remember that it is a legal requirement that any UK vessels (up to 24 meters load line length) that are engaged in any type of commercial operation including chartering, Fractional ownership, and carry no more than 12 passengers with or without any cargo must comply with the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) Small Commercial Vessel and Pilot Boat Code of Practice and be issued with valid Certificates by a recognised Certifying Authority." If you are operating or intend to operate a vessel for commercial or charter you will need to ensure the craft is properly equipped and operated. The vessel must comply with the relevant code standard.

to the following craft:
Sailing charter Yachts: Skippered and bare boat. Fractional ownership schemes. Motor charter vessels.
Angling and Dive Boats. Motor vessels carrying up to 12 passengers. RIBs used in commercial operation.
Work boats and Pilot boats.
